Introduction: Introductory presentation of this section (Google Slides).
Today, freight forwarding services mean different kinds of services, which are transported either by one or more transportation, to transport goods, to load, storage, handling, packing or distribution related services as well as additional and advisory services.
Additional and advisory services are services e.g. related to customs clearance and taxation, giving official announcements related to goods, applying insurances for goods, preparation of documents related to goods, collection or payment. Freight forwarding services include also logistics services in transport, handling or storage, which exploit modern information and communication technologies and the actual logistics management supply chain as a whole.
